InfoPro Home > Training & Tutorials > Research Tips Have you been thinking there should be an easy way to narrow your News search results with a relevancy ranking? I have the answer for you! There is a SmartIndexing relevancy score symbol that will make it easier and more flexible for you to narrow your search. According to the LexisNexis computer algorithm that establishes relevancy, anything with a 90% ranking or above is really about the designated topic. Anything from 80% to 89% contains a strong reference to the topic. Anything under 80% is a passing reference and is probably not relevant. To find articles with a 90% and above relevancy ranking use #90plus#, for articles with an 85% and above ranking use #85plus#. The relevancy number can be any number you choose. For more information take a look at “How to Use SmartIndexing” from the Research Tools for Librarians drop down menu at the top of the page on the InfoPro web site: http://www.lexisnexis.com/infopro/
