Guy Jacobson, a former New York attorney and investment banker, serves as President of Priority Films. Over the past twenty years, he has produced television programs, written and published books, and written numerous newspaper and magazine articles. Holly, the highly acclaimed feature film released in 2007, is his seventh screenplay. Three of Mr. Jacobson's screenplays were co-written with two-time Academy Award Nominee Julian Chagrin.
After an eye-opening sabbatical in 2002, Jacobson founded the Red Light Children Campaign, an NGO aiming to end all forms of child sexploitation. Holly spearheaded the initial phase of the campaign, serving to raise awareness for the global epidemic of child sex trafficking and exploitation. Utilizing his background in law and economics, the RedLight Children Campaign attacks the demand for child sexploitation, focusing on legislation, enforcement, and rule of law. Jacobson produced two additional documentaries on child sexploitation that are currently in post-production.
At present Jacobson presides over Priority Films, is an active board member of the Somaly Mam Foundation, and continues to build the RedLight Children Campaign. Most recently, the US State Department honored Jacobson as a Global Hero for his work with Holly and RedLight Children, highlighted in the 2008 Trafficking in Persons report.
