The U.S. Corporate and Federal Markets group is comprised of the LexisNexis at nexis.com news and business information service, LexisNexis Academic & Library Solutions and LexisNexis Risk Solutions. 

U.S. Corporate and Federal Markets provides decision-support information and services to professionals in the business, government and academic markets, including information professionals, corporate and government attorneys, CIO's, corporate strategists as well as professionals in competitive intelligence, marketing, fraud detection, public relations, finance and other corporate functions. LexisNexis provides value-added information that is relevant, timely, customized and consistent. 

LexisNexis business and government customers began retrieving its rich content via the Web in 1994. 

Customized eSolutions 

An integrated approach to the information needs of enterprises such as corporations and government agencies. A service-based solution, LexisNexis Customized eSolutions includes consultation and customized content integrated with personalized tools, training and support. The suite of knowledge solutions includes:

  • LexisNexis Intranet Publisher  -- Goes beyond information sharing to knowledge sharing with critical, comprehensive information available through an enterprise's intranet. This ready-to-use application provides editorial and administrative tools to integrate content available through the LexisNexis services onto the corporate desktop
  • LexisNexis Web Publisher (formerly Veracity) -- Enables a company's B2B Web site or extranet to build stronger relationships, generate more qualified leads and increase commerce. 
  • LexisNexis Custom User Interface -- Allows users to chose from pre-targeted sources for direct, quick access to news and business information that they search most frequently. Combines a seamless integration of functionality and rich, relevant content with a customer's enterprise-wide application.

LexisNexis Portal Integration -- Gives enterprises total control of all the relevant information and essential tools they rely on via a single access point -- the desktop. Their portals can be established as a knowledge sharing center that makes the most of existing technology.

The LexisNexis at nexis.com service offers superior ease of use and continues the LexisNexis tradition of providing the most comprehensive and credible information in the marketplace. The nexis.com service simplifies searching for both novices and power searchers, making it easier to use the precise tools that help them avoid unwanted clutter.

The nexis.com service showcases many research tools, including:

  • LexisNexis SmartIndexing Technology™ - a powerful and proprietary indexing tool that categorizes and organizes the vast LexisNexis repository of information, allowing customers to find more relevant results. The nexis.com service utilizes it in three areas: Subject Directory, Search, and Power Search. 
  • Company Dossier - Now 500,000 companies strong, Company Dossier allows users to enter a company name or ticker symbol and pull together a full company report with corporate snapshot, related news articles, management information, pertinent legal cases, and patents and trademarks.
  • Nexis® Web Search - the nexis.com service runs searches against an exclusive database of 300,000 relevant Web sites collected from its extensive newspaper and wires sources. 

LexisNexis Risk Solutions

LexisNexis™ Risk Solutions, a division of LexisNexis, provides fraud, business due diligence and risk management solutions in full service; automated, interactive, service bureau or consulting environments to meet the unique risk needs of businesses and governments worldwide. 

Formed after the acquisition of RiskWise Intl. in 2000, this unit targets a multi-billion-dollar market for products and services in employment screening, fraud detection, risk scoring, identity verification and fraud consulting and management services. 

The National Fraud Center (NFC) is an internationally recognized private sector leader in risk management and fraud prevention solutions, utilizing its expert knowledge base and technology. NFC is noted for its customized fraud-fighting technology solutions and for advising businesses, consumers and government agencies on minimizing their exposures to these crimes. 

PeopleWise
® is a leading provider of Internet-based, legally compliant, automated pre-employment screening services to corporations, banks, government agencies and staffing companies. RiskWise L.L.C. specializes in automated, real-time risk management services identity identification and risk scoring when companies transact business with individuals they do not personally know.

Press Access, Inc.

Acquired in 2000, Press Access, Inc. combines unique, proprietary content about media and journalists with task automation, integrating a variety of applications such as contact and reporting, relationship management, electronic messaging and export to handheld devices. In addition, these applications help manage workflow among team members collaborating on multiple projects and facilitates access to archived information on past projects. Soon to come will be the integration of Nexis business and content into Press Access products.

LexisNexis Academic & Library Solutions

LexisNexis™ Academic & Library Solutions, is the leading commercial publisher of U.S. government reference systems for the academic, law and business markets. Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, they publish printed indices and abstracts of all congressional hearings and executive branch documents and government statistical information, in addition to electronic versions on the LexisNexis online services and CD-ROM. The congressional indices date back to 1789. Its University Publications of America publishing imprint is one of the world's leading scholarly research collections. In 1998, LexisNexis Academic & Library Solutions expanded its range of Web-based products with the launch of its Universe products. LexisNexis Academic Universe and CIS Statistical Universe joined Congressional Universe, it's first browser product, launched in early 1997. 

LexisNexis Document Solutions

LexisNexis Document Solutions offers nationwide public records services, with expertise in Uniform Commercial Code-related lien searching and filing; corporate searching and filing, including registered agent services; motor vehicle titling and registration; federal document filing and retrieval services and intellectual property services. These services are marketed to commercial secured lenders, corporations, law firms, and fleet managers. 

Reed Technology and Information Services Inc

The Reed Technology and Information Services Inc. facilitates the processing and publication of patent data for the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has the distinction of continuously performing this service under government contract for over 30 years. Today, RTIS processes over 3,100 patents per week, resulting in the conversion of over 7 billion keystrokes per year.
