LexisNexis Makes Its Exclusive Tax and Accounting Materials Easier to Use DAYTON, OH, October 29, 2001 - LexisNexis announced a series of enhancements to LexisNexis at www.lexis.com which substantially improve the ease of use and navigation of its online data. These enhanced navigational tools include an improved table of contents, explore feature, floating cite assistant and footnote linking capability. The new table of contents combines both search and table of contents functionality on a single page. Users can select portions from the enhanced table of contents to view, search or print the related full text. In addition, customers can easily launch a search from any point within the enhanced table of contents or browse to any level of a document, making the transition from print to online seamless. The expandable and collapsible table of contents links to documents and subdocuments and provides a direct link back to the table of contents from any retrieved document. The new explore feature enables fast navigation of the major segments of a document, such as case summary, disposition, opinion and footnote. Users can also link to specific subsections in many of the enhanced navigation sources. This includes analytical materials such as Matthew Bender treatises and CCH materials. The Floating Cite Assistant automates the display of pinpoint cite information, thereby eliminating unnecessary scrolling within a document. The user simply rests the cursor anywhere in the text of a document and a pop-up box displaying the cite information appears after just a few seconds. Enhanced footnote linking allows single-click access to the text of an online footnote. Clicking on a footnote reference link within the document navigates the user to the text of the footnote. Clicking on an up arrow link from the footnote transfers the user back to the footnote reference in the document.
