Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis™ Caps Off Legal Research Offering
DAYTON, OH, May 29, 2002 - Practicing attorneys in Texas now have a thorough, clear and up to date interpretation of the state’s laws with introduction today of Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis™.
Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis provide legal researchers the central point from which to explore case law and other analytical materials that relate to the statutes. Annotations offer attorneys the most recent interpretations of legal cases, increasing efficiency and reducing research time.
Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis is the company’s newest online legal research product covering Texas law. It is designed to complement and to link to a comprehensive online LexisNexis library of primary and secondary legal research material used by attorneys throughout the state.
Written by attorney editors who are well versed in Texas law, Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis contain links to case law, LexisNexis legal treatises, LexisNexis legal forms and law reviews.
“Annotated statutes are essential to the success of any legal practice. The introduction of Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis gives attorneys the most recent case law interpretations of statutes. That will help our customers complete research tasks more quickly, which will save time and money,” said Bill Carter, vice president and publisher, Western Region, Small Law Firm and State and Local Government Markets.
Links within the statutes can direct users to Lexis® Search Advisor. Another series of links help users move quickly within the lengthy document, both forward and backward.
There are also links to Texas-specific treatises such as Dorsaneo, Texas Litigation Guide, Texas Transaction Guide, Texas Criminal Practice Guide and the Texas Probate Estate and Trust Administration. Additional types of links are planned for future releases.
Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis is available at no additional charge to current subscribers of the Texas statutes. Links to treatises will be provided at no charge to customers who already have that content included in their pricing plan.
The introduction of Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis builds on the company’s commitment to continually offer customers authoritative legal research content. In total, LexisNexis publishes annotated codes for 35 U.S. states and territories.
Texas Codes and Rules Annotated by LexisNexis is the latest online annotated statute introduced to customers. Online annotated statute products were introduced this year in Florida.
