LexisNexis™ Edition of Time Matters® Software Chosen by ATLA As Preferred Practice Management Solution DAYTON, OH, July 22, 2002 - LexisNexis, the global leader in legal, news and business information services, announced today that the 58,000-member Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) has chosen the LexisNexis™ edition of Time Matters® as the preferred practice management software and will make it available as part of its Member Benefits program at special pricing. The LexisNexis edition of Time Matters 4.0 is a complete practice management system that is fully integrated with LexisNexis at www.lexis.com research. Only the LexisNexis edition of Time Matters allows legal professionals to use the Research Manager to link directly from a case file to the total research system, including LexisNexis Case Summaries, Shepard’s® Citations Service, the Web’s most extensive collection of public records, and authoritative analytical content from Matthew Bender®, Michie™ and Mealey’s.
Triggers allow an attorney to create records based on predefined conditions. One of the most popular ones simplifies the work flow of creating a letter, which sometimes requires a number of reviews. When an assistant begins a letter, he or she completes a form. When the form is saved, Time Matters sends an email to the attorney asking him to review the draft. When the attorney reviews the draft and clicks “done,” Time Matters sends an email to the assistant showing the letter is ready to print. The new agreement with ATLA covering the various LexisNexis editions of Time Matters enhances the Member Benefit program for ATLA members. LexisNexis already offers exclusive packages, including unlimited online legal research with one additional content menu provided at no extra charge, as well as usage by credit card priced by the day, week or month. And a New Attorney Program offers significant discounts to those attorneys just starting or attorneys practicing with other new attorneys. ATLA members can purchase the LexisNexis edition of Time Matters software online at http://www.timematters.com/atla/store. Members may also order it by calling 1-800-356-6548. The Civil Litigation Feature Package is the first feature package marketed by LexisNexis. LexisNexis plans to introduce additional customized feature packages later this year. The Civil Litigation Feature Package was developed by Monogram Legal Solutions, Inc., a leading Time Matters Authorized Independent Consultant.
