LexisNexis Earns Top Honors from Legal Technology Readers
Two products each named best in class for the fifth consecutive year

DAYTON, OH, July 31, 2002 - LexisNexis™, the global leader in legal, news and business information services, said today that HotDocs® and Time Matters® received top honors in the 8th Annual Readers' Choice Awards from Law Office Computing magazine. Both HotDocs, a LexisNexis document automation solution, and Time Matters practice management software, which offers exclusive integration with LexisNexis research, won their respective categories for the fifth consecutive year.

LexisNexis and its affiliated products won more categories than any other provider of law office management and legal research products, reinforcing the companys commitment to working closely with its customers to tailor and integrate its information content and productivity tools into the workflow of users.

“We are grateful for the recognition our customers continue to give our products with these Readers Choice Awards from Law Office Computing, and we thank them. Our employees work together with customers to create and support the best possible legal research and practice management systems in the world," said Lou Andreozzi, president and CEO, North American Legal Markets for LexisNexis.

The annual survey polled 2,000 randomly selected readers of Law Office Computing. The national publication offers the latest information about online legal research, computer hardware and software, and other productivity-enhancing tools. Readers chose the products they use most in 10 categories. Winners were announced in the recently published August/September issue.

Law Office Computing established its Readers' Choice Awards eight years ago. According to the magazine's editors, the awards were created to "honor the exceptional software manufacturers that have contributed to the technological advancement in the legal industry and to provide a valuable resource for firms looking to buy quality software."
Since the beginning of 2002, LexisNexis and its products have received five other honors and awards. The Software and Information Industry Association presented Codie Awards for LexisNexis at www.lexis.com as the Best Online Government of Legal Information Service and lexisONE as the Best Online Professional Reference Product or Service. The Technolawyer Community gave @ Awards to LexisNexis at www.lexis.com, HotDocs and LexisNexis Automated Forms as the 7,000-member group’s Favorite Legal Research Tool, Favorite Document Automation Program and Favorite Legal Forms Solution, respectively. LexisNexis was also named one of the Top 100 Companies that Matter Most in Knowledge Management by KM World magazine.

The LexisNexis legal research system is a leading online source of primary and secondary research material used by legal professionals throughout the world. Industry-leading HotDocs document automation software streamlines document preparation, resulting in shorter cycle-times, lower costs, and improved document accuracy for all types of legal documents.  LexisNexis edition of Time Matters software is a complete practice management system that is fully integrated with online LexisNexis legal research, which allows users to conduct and save LexisNexis research within Time Matters.
