LexisNexis Document Solutions Names Eric Geringswald as Director, Corporate Services

SPRINGFIELD, IL, August 05, 2002 - LexisNexis™, the global leader in legal, news and business information services, today announced the appointment of Eric Geringswald as Director, Corporate Services, for LexisNexis™ Document Solutions, one of the nation’s leading providers of lien-related searching and filing services, corporate searching, filing and registered agent representation services and motor vehicle titling and registration services.

The Corporate Services unit provides corporate and law firm attorneys, paralegals and corporate secretaries with products and services that ensure compliance and save time searching, retrieving, preparing, filing and monitoring corporate document portfolios. The division also acts as customers’ registered agent in managing all aspects of service of process in the U.S. and in many international jurisdictions.

In addition, Geringswald will manage all seven LexisNexis Document Solutions branch offices in Albany, NY, Boston, Chicago, Dover, DE, New York City and Los Angeles and Sacramento, CA.

Geringswald previously was UCC Operations Consultant for CT Corporation.

"Geringswald brings to LexisNexis Document Solutions a broad understanding of the corporate service arena from his 17 years within the corporate service industry," said Paul Schultz, president. "He will play a critical role in our efforts to drive market leadership, category superiority and brand preference within the corporate services arena. In addition, he will help focus business resources in accelerating our International capabilities and building strategic alliances."
Earlier this year, Geringswald was elected to president of the National Public Records Research Association, a trade group of 250 member companies that specialize in the filing and retrieval of public record indexes maintained by governmental agencies.

Geringswald received a bachelor of arts in history in 1986 from Washington College in Chestertown, MD. He and his wife, live in Wheatley Heights, NY.
