LexisNexis™ Florida Annotated Statutes Now Offer Advantages Of Online And Print Research

DAYTON, OH, November 01, 2002 - LexisNexis™, the global leader in legal, news and business information services, introduced today LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes in print, the companion of the online product. The new set combines for lawyers the convenience and speed of online LexisNexis legal research with the reassurance and portability of print.

The print edition of the LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes includes the entire statutory contents for the state, as well as the Florida Constitution and the Constitution of the United States. All statutes are updated through the end of the 2002 legislative session and include annotations written by LexisNexis attorney-editors who are well-versed in Florida law. Casenotes are tailored to specific statutory provisions, offering lawyers more authoritative and focused legal commentary. For unparalleled accuracy, case citations are Shepardized™.

Earlier in 2002, LexisNexis published LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes online, which offers lawyers more current annotations and serves as the foundation for the new print product. The new LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes in print uses the same legal classification system as the online statutes – Lexis® Search Advisor – which makes finding the same information in either statute product fast and easy. The set also contains a comprehensive index.

“Using both the online and printed LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes, lawyers gain the advantage of locating information online at the office and then showing the same statutes in court or at a client’s office because individual volumes can make a convenient desktop reference,” said Liz Mason, Mid-Atlantic and Southern Region vice president and managing director for LexisNexis.

The 28-volume softbound edition of the LexisNexis Florida Annotated Statutes went on sale today, and for a limited time is specially priced at $824, which includes one annual update. Lawyers may call 1-800-223-1940 or visit LexisNexis online for more information.
