LexisNexis Launches Campaign 2004 Coverage
One-Stop Research for U.S. Election Coverage
DAYTON, OH, January 26, 2004 - LexisNexis™ subscribers and others will now be able to stay on top of the fast changing landscape of the 2004 U.S. presidential campaign with comprehensive and authoritative information from LexisNexis U.S., a global leader in legal, news and business information services. LexisNexis announced today that it has bundled relevant information from some of its more than 32,000 news, business and legal sources into an easy-to-use, one-stop resource for U.S. election coverage.
Current LexisNexis flat-rate subscribers to news content can access the new Campaign 2004 file on the lexis.com® and the nexis.com® services at no additional charge. This file contains information from top news sources, including ABC News, CNN, Gallup Poll News Service, National Journal, National Public Radio, NBC News, The Hotline, The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and The Washington Times. Coverage begins with stories from October 1, 2003, and will be updated daily.
A search form has been included on the nexis.com service so subscribers can easily search for relevant news articles, including the option to select specific topics using LexisNexis SmartIndexing Technology™ . Subscribers can search by topics, such as healthcare policy, immigration, and foreign policy, and select from a list of candidate names to uncover stories where candidates’ positions are revealed. In addition, subscribers can set up news alerts in Personal News on the nexis.com service or ECLIPSE™ on the lexis.com service.
