DAYTON, OH, June 21, 2004 - Angela Maynard, formerly with KeyCorp financial services in Cleveland, has been named vice president and chief regulatory compliance officer for LexisNexis U.S., a leader in legal, news and business information services.

Michael A. Jacobs, senior vice president and general counsel, said Maynard will lead the company's regulatory compliance organization and provide regulatory advice and counsel to the company's business units. Her appointment is effective June 22.

"Angela Maynard is a very strong addition to the LexisNexis team, bringing not only experience in establishing and growing a compliance organization but also excellent legal skills and recognition within the regulatory community," Jacobs said. "She will lead the continuing efforts at LexisNexis to be an industry leader in compliance standards in such areas as data privacy and protection and IT and security."

Most recently, Maynard was senior vice president and chief privacy executive at KeyCorp in Cleveland and recognized as one of Cleveland’s Top 40 Young Executives. Prior to joining KeyCorp, she was an attorney specializing in regulatory and compliance work for financial institutions with the law firm Bodman, Longley & Dahling in Detroit.

Maynard is a licensed attorney in Michigan and Ohio.

She received her juris doctorate from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a master of business administration from the same institution. She completed her undergraduate work at Alma College in Alma, Mich.
