DAYTON, OH, October 06, 2004 - LexisNexis U.S., a leader in legal, news and business information services, today announced that LexisNexis® CourtLink® Strategic Profiles now includes court docket information for Cook County (Ill.) Circuit Court and the 62 New York State Supreme Court jurisdictions.

CourtLink® Strategic Profiles uses aggregate information from court dockets to develop company profiles with charts and graphs that help law firm business development and marketing managers identify growth opportunities with clients and prospects.

The company also announced that law firms are quickly ordering its new, customized Strategic Market Analysis reports. The reports provide a high-level view of a law firm’s markets so attorneys can quickly summarize the litigation arena of prospective and existing clients. The Strategic Market Analysis outlines the litigations that clients are regularly involved in by practice area and jurisdiction. Law firms also receive a complete overview of emerging competitive firms and counsel in the practices areas and jurisdictions of interest to them. With this macro level view, marketers can then quickly identify which clients, prospects, and markets to dig into more deeply with Strategic Profiles.

The reports undergo editorial review by experienced LexisNexis attorney editors who evaluate litigation activity daily and whose work is relied upon by more than 4 million users of the LexisNexis® services.

"The addition of new courts and the new Strategic Market Analysis Reports are a result of our aggressive development of LexisNexis CourtLink enhancements and new services," said Michele Vivona, chief operating officer of LexisNexis in charge of CourtLink.

LexisNexis CourtLink is focused on developing market-leading products for business development professionals in law firms. Looking forward, the company is developing a new report product that integrates CourtLink Strategic Profiles, supported by the largest database of court information available today, with news and business information from other, authoritative LexisNexis products.

"Customers who have previewed the product in beta tests are impressed with its ability to help law firm marketing directors to make quick, smart decisions about cross-selling opportunities to further grow revenue, monitor client share and measure return on investment," Vivona said. "The product also helps firms to identify and prioritize prospects by understanding their litigation history.
