LexisNexis Launches Louisiana Annotated Statutes
Hardbound set features references to Matthew Bender Treatises, Shepard’s Citator, and an easy-to-use index
DAYTON, OH, October 19, 2004 - LexisNexis U.S., a leading provider of legal, news and business information services, announced today it has launched LexisNexis Louisiana Annotated Statutes, a hardbound set featuring historical citations dating back to 1950, an easy-to-use topical index, and thousands of references to Matthew Bender®analytical materials.
The new annotated statutes include references to more than 30,000 Attorney General Opinions dating back to 1974, with historical citations dating back to 1950. The LexisNexis annotated statutes also contain more than 1,700 references to municipal codes for Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport-a first for the market.
Another first for the Louisiana market is the companion Shepard’s® Citator, a handy research tool that provides immediate access to Shepard’s case information for the case annotations.
The new set complements the LexisNexis® Total Research System for the state with more than 17,000 cross-references, parallel citations, legislative commentary, and references for expanded research with premier Matthew Bender titles, including Collier on Bankruptcy, Powell on Real Property, Corbin on Contracts, and more.
