DAYTON, OH, October 27, 2004 - Deadlines On Demand™ (“DOD”), the premier legal deadline calculation service, and LexisNexis U.S., a leading provider of legal, news and business information services, today announced an alliance to bring rules-based court deadlines to the lexisONE® community on November 1. Deadlines On Demand, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of CompuLaw, LLC.

The alliance between DOD and LexisNexis provides lexisONE users with easy and early access to a critical litigation tool. "No matter what size your firm, you need an accurate, timely, and reliable court calendaring system," said Joseph Scott, vice president of sales and marketing for DOD. "We provide the most critical piece to that system - the court deadlines themselves. Members of the lexisONE community will also benefit by quickly and inexpensively calculating their critical deadlines, without the need to install and learn software."

"DOD is interested in working with lexisONE because of its history of providing credible, valuable services to small firms and solo practitioners," said Scott. "The standing of lexisONE in the legal marketplace allows DOD to complement their pay-as you-go offerings and provide an online calendar service to attorneys across the country."

The DOD Web site allows users to obtain accurate and instant court rules-based deadlines. The technology behind DOD includes CompuLaw’s award-winning software and extensive library of rules databases for more than a thousand jurisdictions nationwide. DOD brings a cost efficient means to offer this accuracy to small law firms and solo practitioners.

"The lexisONE Web community is uniquely designed to meet the day-to-day practice demands of small-firm attorneys. With Deadlines On Demand we can offer small firms access to an important service that goes beyond research to help them stay competitive," said Paul Speca, vice president of operations at LexisNexis.
