LexisNexis Announces New Customizable Start Page, ‘My Lexis’
New Features Available in February
DAYTON, OH, January 19, 2005 - LexisNexis U.S., a leading provider of legal, news and business information services, today announced it will offer a new easy-to-customize start page called My LexisTM to small law firms, corporate counsel, tax professionals, and federal agencies.
The new My Lexis page, a tab within the lexis.com® service, includes new features that allow users to search multiple sources from a single location and see results organized by category. My Lexis encourages users to create a custom search section, with the ability to add, remove and re-arrange a selection of LexisNexis research components.
"We listened to our customers. They told us what they needed to jump-start their research and how they wanted to view the results. What we've delivered in My Lexis is a way for professionals to start with the tools they want and get the results they need quickly and easily," said Ann Fullenkamp, senior vice president and publisher at LexisNexis.
Specifically, the new features of My Lexis include:
Quick Search
This feature allows users to search multiple legal, analytical, and news sources simultaneously. After entering search terms and selecting a jurisdiction or practice area, users can select source types and choose from specific sources to search.
Summarized results set
After searching multiple sources, the results are displayed in a tabbed results set that shows the number of results by source type.
