REEDFAX Patent File Histories Now Accessible from Patent Searches on lexis.com Service
DAYTON, OH, March 28, 2006 - LexisNexis U.S., a leading provider of information and services solutions, and REEDFAX®, a Reed Technology and Information Services (RTIS) service, today announced that Patent File Histories can now be ordered directly from lexis.com® patent search results. RTIS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reed Elsevier INC and a member of the LexisNexis group of companies.
With this addition, researchers can directly link from their lexis.com patent search results to the LexisNexis® REEDFAX File History ordering page, gaining access to a team of patent experts who will fulfill Patent File History orders. Patent File Histories contain the official record of all public documentation relating to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) processing of specific patent applications. Because Patent File Histories provide a detailed view of the entire life of a patent application—from initial filing, to grant, and beyond—they are a critical information source for developing effective arguments for or against patent validity.
