New LexisNexis Offering Helps Attorneys Navigate Bankruptcy Laws

DAYTON, OH, April 07, 2006 - LexisNexis U.S. today announced it has launched a new online research suite designed to help attorneys navigate the consumer bankruptcy laws enacted in late 2005. The new Collier Research Suites provides bankruptcy lawyers with expert guidance on following the new laws, as well as access to bankruptcy case law, public records and forms that make following the new regulations simpler.

Collier TopForm™ Bankruptcy Filing Program – Consumer debtors no longer have the option of simply choosing to liquidate all of their debts under chapter 7 bankruptcy and must undergo a complex means test in order to quality. Collier TopForm, LexisNexis® exclusive desktop application, includes a means test calculator that automates computations for determining clients’ qualifications for chapter 7 filings.
Key sections of the Collier Consumer Practice Guide and the Collier Bankruptcy Manual help attorneys meet the new client contract and disclosure requirements of the Debt Relief Agency provisions.
