DAYTON, OH, April 07, 2006 - LexisNexis U.S. today announced it has launched a new online research suite designed to help attorneys navigate the consumer bankruptcy laws enacted in late 2005. The new Collier Research Suites provides bankruptcy lawyers with expert guidance on following the new laws, as well as access to bankruptcy case law, public records and forms that make following the new regulations simpler.

LexisNexis, a leading provider of information and services solutions, is the leading source of bankruptcy information for attorneys with its printed and online Collier on Bankruptcy® series, published for more than 100 years.

"Collier has been cited over 15,000 times in federal case law and we predict our analysis of the new bankruptcy climate will continue to be invaluable to both attorneys and judges," said Dennis Schneider, senior director of bankruptcy practice at LexisNexis. "This new suite combines the most important tools a firm will need to practice consumer bankruptcy law in this changing, and somewhat confusing, environment."

Collier Research Suites brings together the tools attorneys need to effectively meet the needs of their clients and address their own obligations as consumer bankruptcy attorneys.

Public Records and Smartlinx reports – Help attorneys in their investigation process to verify client information. An attorney’s signature on a bankruptcy petition, pleading or written motion now certifies that the attorney has "performed a reasonable investigation in the circumstances" that gave rise to the filing.

Collier TopForm Bankruptcy Filing Program – Consumer debtors no longer have the option of simply choosing to liquidate all of their debts under chapter 7 bankruptcy and must undergo a complex means test in order to quality. Collier TopForm, LexisNexis® exclusive desktop application, includes a means test calculator that automates computations for determining clients’ qualifications for chapter 7 filings.

Key sections of the Collier Consumer Practice Guide and the Collier Bankruptcy Manual help attorneys meet the new client contract and disclosure requirements of the Debt Relief Agency provisions. These resources also provide guidance on helping clients meet the credit counseling requirements under the new law.

Collier Research Suites is designed for consumer bankruptcy firms with up to 20 attorneys and offers five different suite levels to suit varying firm sizes and caseloads. More information on Collier Research Suites is available online at www.lexisnexis.com/colliersuites.

The new Collier Research Suites is part of LexisNexis® Total Practice Solutions, the company’s overarching offering of solutions to help lawyers and law firms succeed in the business and practice of law. LexisNexis offerings are designed for the way legal professionals work, in all of the areas essential to their success, including Client Development, Research Solutions, Practice Management and Litigation Services.
