LexisNexis Acquires CaseSoft and Dataflight Software – Cements Position of Total Litigator As Leading Provider of Complete Litigation Management Services

NEW YORK, NY, July 24, 2006 - LexisNexis today announced it has acquired Dataflight Software®, Inc. and CaseSoft®, Ltd., providers of the foremost evidence management and case analysis litigation services respectively.
CaseSoft CaseMap, TextMap and TimeMap solutions and Concordance® from Dataflight will be added to the portfolio of specialist litigation services already available via the LexisNexis® Total Litigator® platform. Total Litigator, launched in February 2006, has already established itself as the market leading resource providing legal professionals with a complete litigation management service. Well received by the legal community, Total Litigator has also earned the endorsement of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) as the "best option for litigators."

The addition of Florida-based CaseSoft (www.casesoft.com) means that LexisNexis now offers CaseMap, the market-leading case assessment services that enable litigators to quickly and easily capture, organize and analyze case facts, case law, documents, people and other factors to evaluate case risk and inform decisions on critical topics such as settlement, discovery and trial. CaseMap is the only product of its kind available. CaseSoft’s award-winning TextMap transcript summary tool enables litigators to find and create a searchable database of electronic transcript files such as depositions, examinations, and other proceedings, as well as to create reports for easy transcript management. TimeMap simplifies the production of timeline graphs of key events often used in litigation documents.
The addition of Los Angeles-based Dataflight (www.dataflight.com) enables LexisNexis to offer attorneys evidence management capabilities via the Concordance solution. Law firms, corporations, and government agencies use Concordance as the repository of choice to organize, identify and produce critical documents in litigation. The software includes powerful collaborative features that allow users to search millions of documents in seconds, manage transcripts, add issue codes and notes, link trial exhibits, create reports and digests, redact scanned documents, track productions, manage users, access data remotely and much more.
Concordance will be the unifying data repository and workflow tool for Total Litigator, linking its own capabilities with those of LexisNexis’ other litigation products such as LexisNexis® Applied Discovery®, LexisNexis® File & Serve and LexisNexis® Court Link®. CaseMap, TextMap, TimeMap and other CaseSoft services will be the unifying record for case facts and will be accessible through Total Litigator in the same smooth workflow as the other capabilities.
