WASHINGTON, DC, October 13, 2006 - LexisNexis Risk & Information Analytics Group, the trusted leader in enabling government agencies to transform data into mission-critical decisions, today announced the release of Version 2.0 of its Relavint Desktop visual link analysis solution. Relavint Desktop is a software application based on the industry-leading LexisNexis® Relavint visual link analysis technology currently available to more than 6,000 government and law enforcement agencies as part of the LexisNexis® Accurint for Law Enforcement (LE) and Accurint for Law Enforcement Plus (LE Plus) Investigative Solutions that enables users to easily uncover linkages between suspects and their associated addresses, assets and accomplices.

Relavint Desktop extends the powerful link analysis capabilities previously only available to subscribers of Accurint LE and Accurint LE Plus to investigators and intelligence analysts everywhere. The free software download is a standalone application that enables users to draw, save and edit visual link charts containing critical case information and share them with their colleagues, even if those colleagues are not users of LexisNexis® Investigative Solutions. Users can save time ordinarily spent manually drawing link charts by leveraging Relavint Desktop’s easy-to-use layout display, tagging, image importation and entity icon library features.

"Relavint Desktop 2.0 extends the capabilities of our industry-leading visual link analysis software to all members of the investigative and intelligence communities," said Norm Willox, CEO of LexisNexis Special Services. "By making the free download widely available, LexisNexis can help enhance law enforcement’s ability to collaborate and share critical case information."

With the addition of a powerful "plug-in" feature, Relavint Desktop 2.0’s drawing and editing capabilities can be extended to enable customers to directly search and access live data from Accurint. In addition, through LexisNexis® Expert Services, the flexible and extensible software is configurable to automatically incorporate, display and link customers’ internal data sets along with external reference data from the LexisNexis catalog of information. Version 2.0 also enables users to seamlessly integrate Relavint link charts and their associated data with other leading third-party link analysis tools.
