LexisNexis™ Document Solutions Releases One-Stop-Shop on the Web
Speed, Convenience Make Web-based Application a Must-Have Tool For Corporate, UCC & Motor Vehicle Document Customers

SPRINGFIELD, IL, August 19, 2002 - LexisNexis™ Document Solutions, a business unit of LexisNexis™, the leading global provider of legal, business, and news information, today announced the release of their new Web portal to LexisNexis Document Solutions at www.lexpedite.com. This single, one-stop resource on the Web allows professionals responsible for searching, filing, organizing and managing pertinent corporate, UCC and motor vehicle documents to now access LexisNexis Document Solutions via ordinary desktop browser software.

"Accessing LexisNexis Document Solutions on the Web responds to what customers and the market tell us are their highest priority document needs—convenience, control, timeliness and flexibility,” said Paul Schultz, president of LexisNexis Document Solutions.  “The introduction of this new service combines the speed and efficiency of the Internet with, easy-to-use web-based applications to further support our drive to deliver unparalleled customer service with deep industry expertise in building customer relationships.”

Simple to Use and Secure

The new LexisNexis Document Solutions Web portal is designed to help customers save valuable time accessing documents, sharing information and managing document portfolios by delivering to a user's desktop a "virtual" file cabinet that works in conjunction with a powerful, flexible form-building, filing and monitoring utility.  The Web site is secured via a 128 Bit Certificate from VeriSign, which ensures client to server confidentiality across the Internet.

“Using LexisNexis Document Solutions on the Web has certainly increased the efficiency of my work, now I can share information within my company and access my research from any computer,” said Lisa Currie, corporate paralegal at Equity Residential, the largest publicly traded apartment company in America. “I used to visit multiple state Web sites to find the specific forms and annual reports I needed. Managing all of my documents from a single source is more convenient. I can literally take my research with me.”

The service provides intelligent data entry screens or “File Cabinets” that allow customers to populate redundant data fields once that will be used repeatedly to prepare corporate documents such as: qualifications, withdrawals and mergers as well as UCC filings, eliminating duplicate keying and data entry errors. The customer can access the service from any Web-enabled PC and requires no software to download.

Comprehensive and Flexible

The LexisNexis Document Solutions Web portal offers four practice areas for customers including, Corporate Services, Representation Services, Motor Vehicle Services and UCC and Lien Services.  Here are just a few services customers will experience on the first of many releases of LexisNexis Document Solutions on the Web:

Corporate Services:   Prepare and file necessary forms to incorporate, qualify and dissolve business entities anywhere in the United States. Order corporate documents. Search for name availability, organization number and good standing.  Access a seamless gateway to both domestic and international forms.
