LexisNexis Current Issues

Web-based access to more than 8,000 full-text publications leads you directly to multiple perspectives on today’s hottest topics.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

LexisNexis™ Current Issues is a powerful reference and self-teaching tool that mines the potential of valuable "grey literature" — one of the richest sources of information on current issues, yet one of the hardest to access. These elusive reports, conference proceedings, official documents, organizational newsletters, fact sheets and briefing papers are produced at all levels of government, academics, business and industry — but are not published commercially.

LexisNexis Current Issues provides access to documents on hundreds of current issues from diverse organizations including:

  • Advocacy Groups
  • Private Think Tanks
  • Professional and Trade Associations
  • Government Agencies
  • University Research Centers
  • International Organizations
The service also provides access to editorials from major newspapers and opinion polls from the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research. Use it to research subjects in these categories:
  • Crime and Justice
  • Economy
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Government
  • Health
  • International Relations
  • Population
  • Science and Technology
  • Society and Culture

FEATURES

Explore content through the Issues List.

One way to navigate LexisNexis Current Issues is through its Issues List, which encompasses more than 2,000 focused questions on key areas of interest and controversy. Every question points to multiple full-text source documents.

Search with keywords or controlled vocabulary.

Every document links to a descriptive profile of the issuing organization to help you put the organization’s point of view in perspective. Profiles include descriptions, contact information, and links to the organizations’ Web sites when available.
