Internet Explorer 6 Privacy Security Handling for LexisNexis Products

Objective

To assist you configuring your Internet Explorer 6 browser for smoother assess of LexisNexis online products.

IE Reconfiguration Procedures

You can choose between the Proactive method (recommended) and the Reactive method to grant the necessary permissions to those essential cookies used by certain sites.

In IE6, click on "Tools", and select "Internet Options...".

Click on the "Privacy" tab. Users should see a window like the following (Depending on your browser version: Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or older as the left, and SP2 as the right.)

For IE6 SP1 or older version, under the "Web Sites" section, click on "Edit..." button. The following window will then be displayed.

For IE6 SP2 version, under the "Settings" section, click on "Sites..." button. The following window will then be displayed.

At the text field, "Address of Web site",

  1. Key in (one at a time) the domains belonging to the various kinds of products provided by LexisNexis, e.g. lexis.com. Refer to point 5 for all the domains.
  2. Click on the "Allow" button.
  3. You should see the domain "lexis.com" appended to the list "Managed Web sites" with an "Always Allow" setting.
  4. Repeat this procedure for all the remaining domains.
  5. You can either add all the domains to the list or you can add the domains based on your subscription with LexisNexis. If you have any problems with deciding which domain to include, please call your local LexisNexis Business Applications Consultant for further assistance. The domains are:

Click OK to close all the pop-up windows and close your IE browser. Restart your IE to use our online services.

To activate the new Privacy setting, click here after accomplishing the above steps, close all IE windows and restart IE again.
