Applied Discovery took home awards for Product of the Year, the nominees for which spanned all award categories, and Best Electronic Data Discovery System. Ballots were bound into all copies of the magazine and delivered to LTN's audience of law firm partners and managing partners, legal administrators, MIS/IT directors and specialists, corporate counsel, litigation support specialists, librarians and other legal professionals. Only original ballots (no copies) were accepted, and the cutoff date for receipt of votes was Nov. 30, 2003. Beta Research tabulated the ballots, and winners were determined based on the most-mentioned products/company in each category. Winners were honored at LegalTech New York, on Feb. 3, at the New York Hilton hotel, during a special awards dinner.
