Customize Your Shepard's® Report from a Single Screen

Shepard's allows you to use Custom Restriction options to restrict your report to specific treatments (overruled, reversed, etc.), jurisdictions, headnotes (now including LexisNexis® Headnotes), and dates. It also lets you find specific words or phrases in citing references by using the FOCUS™ feature. In the past, you had to go to two separate screens to perform these functions. Now you can restrict your report to specific analysis phrases AND find references with specific words from a single screen. Here's how:

  1. Click FOCUS ™ -Restrict By at the top of your Shepard's report.
  2. Click the box beside an available option to select it. Then click APPLY.
  3. Enter your search words in the FOCUS term box, e.g., front pay /30 future loss
  4. Click APPLY.
