Stay Updated on News of Interest—automatically—with Alerts

Need to track a continuing story in the news … stories about a client, pending or ongoing litigation, mentions of your firm, or a particular partner? Here’s how to save a search as an Alert.

  1. Sign on to LexisNexis and run a search in one of the News sources, for example, Mega News, Most Recent 90 Days (English, Full Text).
  2. Check your results to ensure they’re relevant.
  3. Click Save As Alert at the top of the screen.
  4. Give your Alert a name, e.g., Smith Jones Litigation.
  5. Specify a frequency for Alerts: daily, business days (Monday through Friday), weekly or monthly.
  6. Choose a means of delivery: online or e-mail.
  7. Specify if you want to receive an e-mail notification that an Alert is available.
