LexisNexis Analyzer makes it easy to Uncover key information about the major players in your litigation quickly and easily by gathering information from a wide array of sources and then delivering them to you in one easy to read, comprehensive report:

  • Profile the judge or arbitrator handling your case by reviewing biographical information, opinions in previous cases, authored law review articles, and more to learn of his ...

    • Experiences/expertise in a particular area of law
    • Interactions (via other cases) with opposing counsel
    • Biases
    • Tendencies, such as citing unpublished opinions

  • Learn as much as possible about opposing counsel

    • What expertise she has in this area of law,
    • How often she has appeared before this judge,
    • Whether she settles most of her cases or wins them on motions or takes them to trial

  • Get information about opposing counsel’s expert or an expert you wish to retain

    • Uncover potential skeletons in the closet
    • Learn whether his testimony has ever been barred
    • Find out if he has ever been sanctioned,
    • Get indications of bias or inaccuracy in the information he/she has provided in the past
    • Locate biographical information, including professional licenses and board certifications
There are three ways to access LexisNexis Analyzer:
  1. From any of the Litigation Research Tasks Pages click Judge, Expert, etc., Investigation and then click LexisNexis® Analyzer.
  2. When you are viewing federal and state case opinions both the attorney's and judge's name will be highlighted. Simply click on the name to launch Analyzer.
  3. At the main Source Selection screen, click LexisNexis® Analyzer in the Reference section of the Legal Tab in the Search Source Hierarchy.
