CaseMap® case analysis software helps litigation teams bring together the relevant facts, documents, persons, evidence and issues of each case—as well as legal and investigative research—into a centralized repository for improved case assessment.
With CaseMap, you have a unique opportunity to maximize case knowledge, see connections you might otherwise miss, differentiate your practice and ease collaboration.
And the fresh, intuitive CaseMap design makes it easy to find your favorite features anytime.
CaseMap® software gives you an intuitive design and powerful tools for effectively capturing, organizing and evaluating the facts, persons, issues and research relevant to a case. You can use CaseMap to assess risk, evaluate strengths and weaknesses, and communicate case thinking to clients and other members of the team via quick reporting features.
CaseMap contains five spreadsheets, which provide the framework for organizing and evaluating critical case knowledge. These spreadsheets help you keep your clients up to date, plan for discovery, prepare to take and defend depositions, create motions for summary judgment and make your case at settlement conferences and trial.
The Objects spreadsheet is your cast of characters: all of the persons (such as experts and other witnesses), places and things involved in the case.
The Issues spreadsheet is designed to help you organize what you are fighting to defend or prove. This includes both the legal claims and critical factual disputes. CaseMap links everything else in your CaseMap file to these issues, helping you to better analyze your case.
The Questions spreadsheet is a great place to store your case thinking, including an action-item list, open questions and potential deposition questions.
This critical spreadsheet enables you to organize case law, statutes and precedents. You can send your legal and investigative research to this spreadsheet or simply attach a full-text PDF download from lexis.com®, Lexis Advance® or other research sites.
You can create a report from any CaseMap spreadsheet. With just one click, you can send a report of undisputed facts to anyone—clients, colleagues or members of your litigation team.
You can also use CaseMap software to create exhibit and witness lists, privilege logs and deposition summaries—and to jumpstart a motion for summary judgment. CaseMap includes all of your undisputed facts, organized by the issues that those facts support.
When you need to continually update a client on case status, the CaseMap ReportBook feature compiles all your critical knowledge and packages it together into one polished PDF report, complete with a cover page, a table of contents and an introduction for your client.
With CaseMap, you can quickly see how key case facts and events emerged over time. By sending your facts from CaseMap to TimeMap® timeline graphing tool, you can create timeline visuals in minutes. Timelines can help you think through case strategy; brief other team members, experts and clients; or impress a judge during trial.
