7th Circuit Says Abuse Not Shown
CHICAGO — A panel of the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Feb. 5 ruled that a district court did not abuse its discretion in refusing to discharge a debtor couple’s student loan debt and held that the couple failed to prove racial discrimination on the part of a federal agency in connection with the loans (In Re: Frederick Vaughn Greene, et al., No. 08-2313, Chapter 7, 7th Cir.; 2009 U.S. App. LEXIS 2161).
