Federal Judge Approves Deal Between JPMorgan, Former Owner Of Texas Rangers

FORT WORTH, Texas - A federal judge in Texas on Jan. 11 approved a joint stipulation for resolution and dismissal of claims filed by JPMorgan Chase Bank against Thomas O. Hicks, the former owner of bankrupt Major League Baseball team the Texas Rangers, which the bank contended had been forced into Chapter 11 bankruptcy by Hicks' failure to fulfill his fiduciary duty to the team (JPMorgan Chase Bank v.
