Steven Wirth joins Akerman Senterfitt’s Jacksonville Bankruptcy Practice

Jacksonville, FL – Jan. 27 - Akerman Senterfitt announced today that Steven R. Wirth has joined the firm’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization practice, in its Jacksonville office as Of Counsel. Mr. Wirth most recently represented creditors in the Lehman Brothers and Bernard Madoff investment securities cases.  Mr. Wirth joins a rapidly expanding practice that boasts high profile attorneys in New York, Florida, Virginia, and Washington D.C. 
 
Mr. Wirth brings to Akerman significant experience in a wide variety of bankruptcy matters, workouts and commercial litigation. His casework also included representation of a vendor and reclamation claimant in the Lyondell Chemical Company bankruptcy and the largest equity holder in the Winn Dixie bankruptcy.
 
Mr. Wirth joins Akerman from Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch, LLP in New York City. He is admitted to the Florida, New York and New Jersey Bars.
