2nd Circuit Will Expedite Bank's Motion To Appeal $8.5B Settlement

NEW YORK - A Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals judge on Nov. 30 agreed to expedite The Bank of New York Mellon's (BNY Mellon) motion for leave to appeal a ruling denying remand of a New York Civil Practice Law and Rules Article 77 proceeding for the court approval of an $8.5 billion Bank of America Corp. settlement for various reasons pursuant to the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 (CAFA) (The Bank of New York Mellon v.
