2nd Circuit Will Expedite Bank's Motion To Appeal $8.5B Settlement

NEW YORK - A Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals judge on Nov. 30 agreed to expedite The Bank of New York Mellon's (BNY Mellon) motion for leave to appeal a ruling denying remand of a New York Civil Practice Law and Rules Article 77 proceeding for the court approval of an $8.5 billion Bank of America Corp. settlement for various reasons pursuant to the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 (CAFA) (The Bank of New York Mellon v. Walnut Place LLC, No. 11-4751, 2nd Cir.).
