7th Circuit Denies Leave To Appeal Remand Of Illinois Attorney General's Suit

CHICAGO - A Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Nov. 18 denied manufacturers of LCD panels leave to appeal remand of an antitrust suit brought by the Illinois attorney general, finding that the suit does not meet the requirements of the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) and, therefore, the federal district court lacks jurisdiction (LG Display Co., Ltd., et al. v. Lisa Madigan, Attorney General of the State of Illinois, No. 11-8017, 7th Cir.; 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 23036).
