Class Recertified In Antitrust Lawsuit Over Apple ITunes

SAN JOSE, Calif. - After previously decertifying a proposed class claiming antitrust violations by Apple Inc. related to its role in the digital audio downloads and portable digital media players markets, a California federal judge on Nov. 22 granted a renewed motion to certify the class, finding that plaintiffs had sufficiently identified methodologies for demonstrating antitrust impact and for determining damages (The Apple iPod iTunes Antitrust Litigation, No. 05-00037, N.D.
