FTC Properly Required Condom Maker To Produce Documents Related To Other Products

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A federal district court did not err in finding that information on products other than condoms was reasonably relevant to the Federal Trade Commission's investigation into a condom manufacturer's potentially monopolistic practices in the market for condoms because the FTC's inquiry extended to the possibility that the manufacturer engaged in the exclusionary bundling of rebates to retailers that sell condoms and other products manufactured by the company, the District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed Dec. 13 (Federal Trade Commission v. Church & Dwight Co., Inc., Nos. 10-5383, 11-5008, D.C. Cir.; 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 24587).
