Jury Deadlocks in Novell's Antitrust Suit Against Microsoft

SALT LAKE CITY - A federal judge in Utah on Dec. 16 declared a mistrial on Novell Inc.'s claims that Microsoft Corp. violated antitrust laws by using its dominant position in the personal computer (PC) operating systems market to monopolize other software markets, including word processing and other office productivity applications (Novell, Inc. v.
