Judge Denies Stanford's Motion To Continue Criminal Trial

HOUSTON - A federal judge in Texas on Dec. 28 refused to grant defendant R. Allan Stanford a continuance of his criminal trial on charges that he headed a massive Ponzi scheme, ruling that a number of factors weighed against postponing the trial any longer (United States of America v.
