CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) sued seven former officers and directors of a failed North Carolina bank in North Carolina federal court on Dec. 29, alleging that the defendants breached their fiduciary duties by approving loans that ultimately led to the bank's failure (Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., as Receiver of The Bank of Asheville, v.
