DALLAS - A federal judge in Texas on Jan. 4 granted the Securities and Exchange Commission's motion for default judgment against a defendant in a Ponzi scheme case, including disgorgement of nearly $4 million, ruling that default judgment was warranted because the defendant did not attempt to defend itself (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission v.
