CHARLOTTE, N.C. - In a Ponzi scheme case, a federal judge in North Carolina on Jan. 11 granted the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) request for a permanent injunction, restitution and a civil monetary penalty against the defendants and a request for disgorgement against the relief defendants (U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission v.
