SAN DIEGO - A federal judge in California on Jan. 3 granted in part and denied in part a Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) motion to withdraw reference in a bankruptcy action against a failed bank, ruling that "there seems to be a sincere and reasonable dispute between the parties about the interplay between" federal statutes on the particular facts of this case (In re Imperial Capital Bancorp Inc., No. 11-2065, S.D.
