Walgreen to stay in pharmacy benefit deal with CVS

NEW YORK –(AP) CVS Caremark Corp. and Walgreen Co. have settled a contract dispute that had been expected to prompt thousands of Walgreen customers to search for a new place to fill prescription drugs.

Details of the deal announced Friday were not disclosed. Shares of both companies surged in premarket trading.
