Senate Vote Expected by Week’s End for Dodd-Frank Reform Bill
The Senate is expected to vote on the Dodd-Frank
Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act by the end of the week after
garnering enough Republican support. It was predicted as late as
yesterday that the vote would be delayed until the late Senator Byrd's
replacement was announcement. While it was thought that Democrats had
enough votes to pass the bill, there has been fear of a Republican-led
filibuster.
