Ralph W. Davis To Join Cressey & Company As Partner
CHICAGO -- Cressey & Company LP, a recently formed private investment firm focused on the healthcare industry, today announced that Ralph W. Davis, currently Chairman of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP, will join Cressey & Company as a Partner. Mr. Davis will focus on making new investments and supporting portfolio companies.
Cressey & Company, including partners Bryan C. Cressey, Peter S. Ehrich and Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader William H. Frist, M.D., is focused on making equity investments in middle-market companies in a diverse range of segments of the U.S. healthcare industry. The team proactively supports the managers of the companies in which it invests by helping identify, complete and integrate acquisitions, improve operations and accelerate growth. Mr. Davis is currently the Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP, where he has been a Partner since 1995. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the healthcare industry, public and private equity and debt financing and general corporate law. Prior to joining Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, Mr. Davis was an associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meager & Flom, LLP. He also served as law clerk to The Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Davis earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was Managing Editor of the Yale Law and Policy Review, and his B.A., magna *** laude, from Vanderbilt University.
