WASHINGTON – Weil Gotshal & Manges announced Monday that Allan Huss will join the firm as Counsel with its Antitrust/Competition practice in Washington D.C.
With more than 30 years' experience, Huss is a recognized authority on antitrust issues. As Senior Counsel for Antitrust and Trade Regulation for DaimlerChrysler Corporation, he managed the company's antitrust legal affairs in the NAFTA region and served as principal counsel for DaimlerChrysler's MOPAR Parts Division. He also served as General Counsel to Alfa Romeo Distributors of North America, a joint venture of Chrysler Corporation and Italy's Fiat S.p.A. Prior to joining Chrysler Corporation, Huss was an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission's Cleveland office, where he focused on antitrust conduct, consumer protection, special statutes and general litigation.
Huss holds a B.S. from Michigan State University and earned his J.D. at the University of Cincinnati Law School. He is Vice Chair of the Corporate Counseling Committee of the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section. Former industry positions include chairing the Section of Antitrust, Trade Regulation and Franchising Law of the State Bar of Michigan, serving on committees of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, and of the State Bar of Michigan, and appointment to a Federal Advisory Committee to the Federal Trade Commission.
