The Conference Board Governance Center continues to be
recognized for its work in the corporate governance space as Director Paul
DeNicola was named a Millstein Center Rising Star of Corporate Governance for
2011 yesterday. The
Yale School of Management's Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance
announced the award in New Haven at its fourth annual Governance Forum.
The Rising Star award recognizes "global corporate
governance professionals under the age of 40 who are making their mark as
outstanding analysts, experts, directors, managers or advocates."
"We have the privilege to recognize young and upcoming
corporate governance professionals from around the world through this Rising
Stars award," said Ira M. Millstein, senior associate dean for Corporate
Governance at the Yale School of Management and namesake for the center. "We
are entering into a new era of corporate governance and this year's honorees
are among the next generation of leaders who will help define it."
DeNicola, who had been named to the Directorship
100 list in 2009 and 2010, hopes an award such as this will continue to get out
the word on the work of the Governance Center.
