The SEC issued a proposed rule implementing the provisions of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act on December 15,2010. Section 1502 imposes new reporting requirements on companies that manufacture, or contract to manufacture, products that use certain "conflict minerals" or their derivatives.
