J. Scott Colesanti
Special Professor, Hofstra University School of LawJ. Scott Colesanti is a Special Professor at the Hofstra University School of Law, teaching Securities Regulation and Broker-Dealer Regulation. Between 1988 and 1999, he worked for the New York Stock Exchange, first as trial counsel for its Division of Enforcement and then as Counsel within its General Counsels Office. Mr. Colesanti has published numerous articles on the regulation/prosecution of securities fraud and previously taught Securities Regulation at the St. Louis University School of Law. He is an arbitrator for FINRA and is admitted to the Bars of New York, Missouri, and Washington, D.C. He has served an appointment to the Corporate Law Committee, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and has authored various "comment letters" on securities industry rule changes and initiatives.
