9th Circuit: California Law, Not Georgia Law, Applies To Wage Dispute

PASADENA, Calif. A district court chose the wrong state law to apply to a dispute over the classification of drivers, the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Feb. 8, vacating the decision to apply Georgia law and remanding the matter for consideration under California law (Fernando Ruiz, et al. v. Affinity Logistics Corporation, No. 10-55581, 9th Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 2450).
