Government Asks Federal Court To Dismiss Challenge To Contraceptive Mandate

DENVER - The federal government on Feb. 27 asked a Colorado federal court to dismiss for lack of subject matter a case brought by a Christian university that alleges that the mandate contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requiring that all health plans provide "preventative services" for free, including those for birth control, violates the rights of religious organizations (Colorado Christian University v.
