GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Plaintiffs suing Enbridge Inc. over a ruptured pipeline that spilled tar sands oil, laced with benzene, into the Kalamazoo River have not justified going over the time limit in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure for conducting the deposition of a defense witness, a Michigan federal judge held Jan. 22 (Precious Holder, et al. v. Enbridge Inc., et al., No. 1:10-cv-752, W.D. Mich., Southern Div.).
